Saturday Style Shenanigans

Hey loves,

Sorry for the long break, I promise to upload a blog post every fortnight. Let's talk about the basic challenge we girls face. On one hand, we want to look fabulous yet the dilemma to choose one outfit consumes us. More so often than we realize, we gravitate towards something black preferably a dress. One can never go wrong with the little black dress. It evolves every season since its existence over decades.

The genesis of this garment is grief itself, as the iconic Coco Chanel wore the black dress to mourn the untimely death of her one true love, Boy Capel.Unintentionally, this became a huge trend which now has taken its place with the classics.

The two most important elements of the LBD are that it looks flattering on almost all body types (black gives an illusion of a slender silhouette) & it compliments red like a boss.

So when my girls decided to party on a Saturday, I faced the same anxiety of choice. I was quick to pick out my latest buy from, LBD in the avatar of a slip dress which embodied the flavor of this season’s floral embroidery detailing. The A-line silhouette was such a comfy choice to hide away the underline secret that I hadn't hit the gym. The criss-cross detailing of the neckline was a reflection of the runway trend this year which shall dominate this fall-winter as well.

The red embroidery detailing prompted me to accessorize in red, which upped the glam quotient. My favorite Crochita Red Pom Pom earrings seemed like a perfect match for this outfit.

Coming to the makeup, in my head glam kinda translates into red lips which were such a Parisian choice. But my eyes demanded a dose of smokey gold dust. My recent purchase of the NYX  perfect filter palette (Rustic Antique), was the palette of the hour. The base had a hint of smokey maroon. The outer corners had smokey black (Too faced "power of makeup" palette) blending into gold dust ( gave my eyes the balance of glam & smokey. Dramatic winged liner never fails to open up my tiny eyes, the product used is Kat Von D beauty tattoo eyeliner in the shade trooper. To finish the look I added my new falsies from Shein, extremely affordable yet very comfortable and light on the eyes. The tangerine red ultra matt lips are from Colour Pop USA.

If you try out this look don’t forget to send me a pic.  Let me know your thoughts in the comments below. Share this post with your friends who love to dress up and party every Saturday.
